Mini Cooper announces “the return of the British roadster” with their 2012 Mini Cooper Roadster.  

The 2012 Roadster has been likened to the 2 seater Coupe, only with a soft top.  The Roadster includes a pop-up rear spoiler (that deploys automatically when you hit 50mph), a reinforced body, and a lower ride height.  Its a zippy ride, and can handle turns like a pro with its short wheel base and firm suspension.  The soft-top roof can be done manually, or a power top is an option.  The 2012 Roadster also has the option of coming with the Mini Connected system-- a feature that will keep all those tech savy drivers happy.
