Mini USA is recalling all Mini Cooper S and JCW models from 2007-2011.  Why?  These vehicles may have a malfunctioning electric water pump if they are equipped with a N14 turbo engine.  

The function of the water pump is to keep the engine cool by conducting heat away from it.  The pump is controlled electrically.  In some instances, the electrical circuit board that controls this pump malfunctions.  This can cause overheating, engine damage, or fire.
